The most annoying thing about the handling is that the car does not want to rotate mid turn when you go off-throttle. It’s like the weight of the car does not want to move forwards to make the front grip

When you are off throttle the weight balance changes forward.

That's cause you need to install the 3.4 patch handling mod(it's not from project unite) which adds extra engines stuff to the car and most importantly it adds a drive train slider which is absolute clutch for simcade drift, off road and even racing sometimes

I thought about getting Heat but without great chases I rather fire up MW Redux or Pepega mod and have a good time :) I would prefer the " MostWanted" handling in Heat tho. 6:22 That reminds me of Forza: "Just drive your supercar through walls and jumps it will be fine". Would be much better if they could add lots of weight into these physics objects that slows you down. Would benefit from todays tech, leabes a sense of open world and avoids wallriding :)

As someone who loved Most Wanted and the pursuits, it was a change to actually have to avoid the police because of the (inconsistent) damage system. I will say there is alot of novelty in them being made that way, and maybe it’s my age showing but I dont think the MW police chase system would’ve worked as well with Heat, even if the game could support 16 racers each in their own 30 cop chase.

Heat is still worth picking up on a discount. I bought it for 5 euros and it gave me 200+ hours of enjoyment. (Most of it was spent tuning cars)

Why they can't put two styles of handling like these from the get-go? I can see from the video that this feels a LOT better. Also fully agree with U1, U2 and Most Wanted to have the most fun handling. I mean MW is kinda wack at low speeds but I think they've done that on purpose because of the cops - You always want to smash the gas to the firewall because You know You can't do anything at low speed. So trying to break free from a dead stop is more tense that way.

I think the problem is that current NFS games try to have two cakes at once. They want the casual brake to drift experience but then they also design their maps akin to tight, urban environments that necessitates precise control which the current handling model isn't good at. If future NFS games learn from Midnight Club and just give us these big sprawling streets and cities we might get a resurgence.

I wish they combined the 2 modes, Sim mode for off road and drift and arcade for racing. That way ww wouldn't have to constantly shut the game on and off to change when we want tor ace and when we want to drift

Maybe because you’re using extended stance (disable it if you’re gonna do the campaign and side quests (Dex,Wayne and Roshni)
