Need for Speed Unbound (stylised as NFS Unbound) is a 2022 racing video game developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. It is the twenty-fifth instalment in the Need for Speed series, the first for Criterion since 2013's Rivals with Ghost Games and the first as the main developer since 2012's Most Wanted.
Unbound was revealed by Electronic Arts on October 6, 2022. The game features an art style that merges artistic elements like cel-shading and graffiti art with the more realistic art style of other Need for Speed games.[2][3] The map is based in a fictional city inspired by Chicago called Lakeshore City.[4] The game was released worldwide on December 2, 2022, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Need for Speed Heat (stylised as NFS Heat) is a 2019 racing video game developed by Ghost Games and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the twenty-fourth instalment in the Need for Speed series and commemorates the series' 25th anniversary. The game received mixed reviews from critics, who mostly found the game to be an improvement over the 2015 Need for Speed reboot and Payback but not enough to be a full return to form for the franchise.
Heat was Ghost Games' final game both for the Need for Speed franchise and as a lead developer. 1. Im saddened that some customization was removed (due to brand licensing) 2. I expected unbound to have newer customization to certain existing cars that where in heat Overall I still like unbound but if this flops then when they make a newer nfs game they add back the realistic flames from heat and add brand new brands of wheels and a selection to customize fitment

Unbound HAS newer customisation for cars from past games, not all tho. Can't remember specific ones. Also, Heat flames weren't realistic at all(ofc Unbound flames aren't). It was extremely exaggerated, and present in all cars, even a 100hp Volvo. It didn't make any sense

Now you may like it, in the end music is like colors mostly a matter of opinion, but that music genre it's just terrible and just calling it "Music" is a disgrace to actual music. The problem is heat is 30fps and with lower resolution on the ps4 and pro version and there is not native version for the ps5 so that’s why heat look like sht on the ps5 but unbound with 4K 60fps HDR

I'm gonna be honest. NFS heat looks overall graphically superior. The only things unbound does better with is texture quality, and the resolution of reflections. You can especially see how much better Heat looks at night. But let's not forget how truly graphically superior NFS 2015 was.

All that's cool but when are they gonna fix the police spawn rate and despawning bugs after chasing in intense mode? It's so annoying that I escape a heat 5 chase only to end up in another because either the meetup is guarded by like 5 cops or the police from the previous chase are stuck in their positions in front of the meetup. I literally make all my cash from cop chases, which I doubt was the intention of the game.
