NFS Hot Pursuit 2 Intro (2002) VS Remake Intro (2016)

I dont made this , the remake intro was created by a guy called Mista Heita , the game was Trackmania Canyon edited to NFS HP 2 with mods .

It's really good, but the animations don't feel smooth. It seems like it's linear most of the time. 1:19 the negative color effect doesn't sync with the noise sound effect, plus it's faded in, it'd look better if it was instantaneous. 1:23 there's a slight lack of sync. Small but noticeable. 1:26 the movement of the camera makes it seem like someone is holding it and moving it around, removing some of the cinematic feel from it. 1:34 feels blank, also out of sync with the audio. In the original you can see how vivid and fluid the animation of the police car that surpasses the speeders is. Just rewatch both scenes and see for yourself. (Original is at 0:17). 1:37 completely misses the point of the scene in the first place, which is to show that the red car took an off-road shortcut. We only realize it a few split seconds later and that takes away the taste of the scene. 1:41 the lights look unrealistic, and they're flashing too quickly. The camera shaking is downright weird. 1:46 the camera angle is static. If you notice in the original (0:28), the camera is rotating with the car as if it's stuck to the door of the car. 1:49 ?? The first police car looks like it was going to drift stop to the left but then went to the right. Looks weird. 1:54 the animation of the camera is linear. It just suddenly stops. If you've ever played around with cinematic camera mode in Minecraft, you'd know why it's called that. Cinematic camera rotation slows and smooths down at the end. 2:03 the combination of weird camera handling and the cars going mostly out of the camera range it's really hard to tell what's happening. The light flashing is also unrealistic and linear. It's like morse code. 2:10 more morse code. Somewhat ruins what is to be the best shot of this intro. 2:15 the cars feel slow. 2:23 those trails just appearing out of nowhere? I mean if they were there from the beginning it would be understandable. But here they're just out of place. A better idea to put them in would be to suddenly turn the world nuts with lights and colors all over the place, kind of like a frenzy mode for the whole scene. Then it would look cool. Overall, it's pretty good but still lacks artistic and cinematic flavor.

Yes, the police Lamborghini must be a Diablo VT 6.0 and the racer the Lamborghini Murciélago (pre-facelift), while the Ferrari must be a 360 Spider.

The thing is that in the original intro, the cover car was supposed to show that same yellow 2003 Murcielago and it gets swapped out in the remake for a 99' Diablo SV. Also, the red car, it originally was supposed to be a Ferrari 360 Spider and in the remake they swapped it out for a F50.

If the original had the details of the remake. It’d be darn perfect in my opinion. First one is a classic and the best. If I saw the second without knowing about the original... I’d think it would cool. But the remake has much work to be done. Textures are better but seem lifeless in a way. Cars aren’t flowing like an actual car would drive, the animation in the vehicles makes them seem like toys and not heavy vehicles.

The original looked more real than the cartoony looking 2010 remake, and the music fits much better. The cars look beautiful and stunning, and you really get a sense for how FAST they're going. Where in the 2010 remake, it doesn't look like they're going as fast. 40-50 MPH I'd say they're going. The cop drift looks somewhat good in the 2010 remake, again the graphics ruin it, but the 2002 HP2 just looks much better.

The second one I don’t like. I only like the end of it with the lights having the trail. The first one is older but the two crown Vic’s that followed the Ferrari and Lamborghini were bad ass with that drift as they were behind them.

The remake is quite nice. However, nothing will come close to the original, when the police Diablo gets in the race. Aventador is awesome as well, but there is just something about that black police Diablo. It is one of the most aggressive looking cars I have ever seen. As cool as the Aventador is, it does not even come close to the Diablo. Also, in the original, the Diablo police car is seen gaining on the yellow Murcielago in the side mirror, which is an amazing detail and enhances the car's fantastic image and impact even more.

Its good but it's almost too pretty, too much lens flare and glossy visuals. Part of what made the original so timeless was the grayscale tone. It made it seem so real, ahead of its time. Really nice work though!

Laughable at first glance, but after watching it, understanding how much effort went into it (something I cant do in the next 10 years), I can give it a 7/10. The drifting could of gotten a bit more polish. The graphics look a little like plastic but it's really a nice shot.

Intro 2 the cars look to "light" and "flimsy" they don't look like real cars applying to physics (note the overly (and speedy) tail happy rears and bumpy suspension)
