A true test of skill for MW speedrunners and long-time MW veterans!
In this Time Trial, you must race through Petersburg & Camden, the longest tollbooth route in the game, in 5:30.000 or less. Cops and traffic are removed.
To pull off this mad dash, you will drive a custom Carrera GT made specifically for this mod. It's incredibly fast, much faster than a regular Carrera GT equipped with max
upgrades and junkman parts.
This time trial will exercise your NFS Most Wanted skills to the limit. All gameplay mechanics must be used to their fullest extent in order to win.
The Speedbreaker must be used constantly to maintain speed through corners, reduce airtime, maintain stability, etc.
Nitrous must be used carefully and at the right times to maximize its effectiveness.
You must take the fastest racing lines, paths and shortcuts possible to save time.
You must have perfect steering control, especially during speedbreaker usage to avoid oversteer and speed losses.
You must have perfect braking to maintain racing lines, and avoid hitting walls and obstacles.
(Demo was recorded with 5:40 time limit)
Recommended Settings / other game modifications
Analog steering is likely required to win. Keyboard/Digital Steering not tested.
You will likely need to use manual shifting. Automatic may take some needed control away from you.
Game Moment Camera should be set to off. This will prevent cinematic cameras from distracting you during big jumps in the race.
Bumper Cam or Hood cam recommended.
Thirteenag widescreen fix recommended for unlocked frame rate.
The HUD disappears while using the speedbreaker. Since you will need to keep a close eye on your speed at all times,
I recommend installing Custom HUD by Archie and using a custom HUD of your choice. With Archie's Custom HUD, the HUD will not disappear when using the speedbreaker.
I used my Gran Turismo HUD for testing this time trial. It works well for this because your speed is shown in the middle of the screen, making it easier to focus on your
speed and what's ahead of you.
Replaces Challenge #67. If you start a new save file it will be unlocked automatically. Otherwise, unlock it normally or use the unlockallthings hack in extra options.
