Gran Turismo 3's strangest hidden track: "Demo_UpDown"

A hidden/unused track in Gran Turismo 3 likely intended for development purposes...
It's like Tsukuba circuit, but it's a dirt track, with lots of insane humps.

this is false, demo up down was only unused in Gran Turismo concept (which explains the hyundai accent rally car) although i am pretty sure this is a modded version of gran turismo 3 instead of base gt concept

tbh i wish devs kept stuff like this in for sure its a nearly unplayable track but i think itd be really nice as an unlockable track or something like that ofc with how stuck up and corporate games are nowadays i doubt this will ever happen at all but still

this looks a lot like they used it to test how the cars behave in complex or unusual jumps, specifically for rally. The really weird part is that Tsukuba wasn't even in GT3. If I remember right it was found in the Files of GT Concept which runs on the same Engine. Seems like they wanted to include it in GT3 and Concept but for whatever reason either decided against it or couldn't? As for why they took its layout for this test-track.. maybe because it's short which was good for creating a test track? Or maybe the Developer that created it was also working on Tsukuba at the time and just copied the layout as that was what was in front of them. Either way, I doubt we'll ever find out.

Tsukuba is in fact in the files of GT Concept, albeit in a very barebones state. My guess is that Tsukuba, along with Suzuka and Twin Ring Motegi (also in GTC files) were the first tracks licensed for GT4.
