One nice thing about slow speed Morse code rag chewing is that it gives an operator time to consider the topic and compose a well thought out and succinct transmission - one that is that is hopefully meaningful or interesting for the receiving station(s).
In this Thursday morning 80m Morse code 4-states roundtable we generally practice with straight keys, but other methods are also used. A military surplus J-41 is used to key the 20W Xiegu G90 transceiver in this video. Also briefly shown in the video is an on-air uncalibrated measurement of fundamental and harmonic signal using a tinySA spectrum analyzer. The 80-meter band deteriorated near the end of the roundtable and was essentially gone by the time we signed off at 0809 hrs. Next roundtable will be on 40 meters.
You can adjust the playback speed of the Morse code to your preference using the speed control on the KZbin tool bar, from 0.25X to 2.0X.
