it's awsome to see someone still playing portal (I love this game)

There's a fair few people who still make portal videos, the game has such a great community still after all this time. Thank you for watching and commenting too!

Valve totally knew what they were doing when they introduced World Portals. They knew exactly what people would do with it.

Fun Fact: world portals are x2 bigger when placed cause valve logic. Anyways, I've played this map yesterday- interesting. I'm pretty sure ngeruma's channel is now focused on the interestingly weird maps. Ngeruma, yes: BEE2 can handle world portals, its proven on BEE2.5 (the older version of bee2), as a element called "world portal door"
@ngeruma Жыл бұрын
I didn't know Bee2 had that now, it's awesome they keep adding so much to it for people to play and experiment with, and yeah valve logic, so many things are very oddly scaled when you look into how they make their games lol As always, thanks for watching!

hey sorry for the late reply, that sucks. Sometimes these maps with lots of world portals can get kind of glitchy it seems, other than restarting the only other option would be to use noclip to get to the next area, but if i remember right that next area doesn't actually just line up anywhere near the transition point when you noclip out of the map

6:00 - Funnily enough, that is a dev texture 6:03 - I JUST SAID THAT!!! 8:21 - Such as using the floor accessible panels? :P 10:42 - No, but I have watched my good friend ViiNTAGE play through it and absolutely lose his mind. He actually played all the games of that franchise, and let me tell ya, there are a LOT Fun little chamber and video, almost fitting for Friday :)
@ngeruma Жыл бұрын
6:00 / 6:03 other than the way Wii2 uses them, think this is the only other time i've seen them used as part of a map, they work well aesthetically in this one. 8:21 there was a floor panel?? or you mean do it from the other side? like jump to the middle then jump again? 10:42 i played a fair way into the first one before i lost interest to be honest, they're really good just i felt they kind of lacked a reason to keep going other than to prove you could solve everything to yourself, a lot of first person puzzle games have that i find. Yeah there's loads of them, the Dev's are/were really dedicated to that series. Much love!
@HugoBDesigner Жыл бұрын
@@ngeruma 8:21 - I meant using the sides of the wall which are in contact with the floor, so you could just portal either side of the gap then walk through normally, without the shimmying :P

Its funny when people use the term "non-Euclidian" incorrectly, usually in the form of buzzwords.
@DevilSpider_ Жыл бұрын
Non-Euclidean refers to a type of geometry which is present on a curved plane (spherical or hyperbolic) where parallel lines either curve towards or away from each other. What the buzzword refers to is seamless portals, so the correct term should be "Antichamber-esque" since that game heavily uses seamless portals and seamless teleportation as its "mind bend"
