I replaced a brake fluid level sensor on a chevy venture and still got the low level on dash. That sensor is a magnetic switch on this case and float was stuck low. Using a rubberized handle of a screwdriver and a speaker magnet, after GENTLY hitting with the screwdriver handle and moving the magnet up and down, the float lever came free and is all okay now... thank you for your video.

The video seems a little lacking in that it didn't show how to determine if the sensor is bad.

Also, why does a float sensor fail ? It's a magnetic float device, what could potentially go wrong for a failure ?.. can this be repaired easily.. The cost to replace is high and a simple repair option might be better ?. Can you show what's inside a failed float sensor

Should my master cylinder reservoir sensor be receiving 10 amps of power through one wire and then when the reservoir is low on fluid it would trigger and allow the current to flow back out into the other wire?
