Such an inspiration! I'm working on creating my garden and started from a completely empty lot, even grass was thin when I started this project in Colorado mountain town. I hope I will be able to see established garden and will have enough time to enjoy it. I started three years ago and I'm fifty now. If not me I think my kids and their fiture kids will love it. I hope.

I'll watch almost anything if Lark Ascending plays along, but this garden is truly heaven on earth. Please consider planting a 'Lark Ascending' rose, developed by David Austin upon the request by Ursula Vaughan Williams and myself. Thank you so much for this bewitching report~~

Absolutely stunning. For someone sharing a shoebox studio apartment working 12 hrs a day never seeing any nature, it's comforting to at least know that this exists somewhere in the world. So glad I took time to watch this. Thank you so much!

I will watch this many times over. It was so lovely to end with Mary's photo. So very sorry for her passing of this virus since as a gardener, we all hope to reach a ripe old age and simply drop into the border. Cheers to her legacy.

What a special garden! As an American that's traveled extensively in England, wales and Scotland just to see the gardens I so appreciated the effort by the National Garden Scheme to put these wonderful places on KZbin, especially during this difficult time. I have been binging on all the gorgeousness and it has helped so much with the isolation. It's inspirational!

R.I.P Mary. If the country was governed the way you tended your garden, you and many others would still be here. Thanks for the work, love, creativity, and passion you put into this place.

I greatly respect people who garden because I can’t even grow a cactus to save my life! I literally killed a cactus because I watered it too much. I tried growing kale and carrots and they didn’t make it either. The carrots sprouted then died. The kale first did well but died after I transplanted them. This year, I bought lavender and I’m terrified to transplant them because all the other flowers in years past have also withered and died along with one of my five trees that I bought and had planted. I’m disappointed. What’s so hard about growing plants? 🤷🏻♀️

Such an amazing garden, so much love is evident here. Thank you to Martin and Mary for pouring so much heart and soul into your little corner of the world. You have brought joy to so many by your hard work. Having lost both of my parents my heart goes out to Emily on her loss. Such a blessing to have this legacy and such a magical place to spend a childhood.

Nobody mentions that this sort of garden costs a bundle of money to begin with and even more to maintain so they had to have been wealthy
@geemo42843 ай бұрын
I don’t think they need to mention it - just look at the place, and then she mentions that this was their second home. They must have been absolutely loaded. And it’s also in Surrey -not exactly the cheapest area in the UK. I think it’s safe to assume that we all know that they are extremely wealthy.
