Hi! I have an issue with smoothing which drives me crazy 🥲So, when I use a smooth brush - at some point vertices just start randomly popping out and glitching, which completely disrupts the deformation. Is it a Maya bug or just some settings need to be changed? Also, I've noticed that smooth with 0 intensity and big brush size temporarily put things back to normal, but doing it every 5 seconds is kind of exhausting

so, I've applied skin with a different parameters and the problem appears to be gone, the difference: Weight distributuion: Neighbors; Maintain max influences: False; Remove unused influences: False; Still getting warnings "Some weights could not be set to the specified value. The weight total would have exceeded 1.0.", but atleast no glithces for now

@@borovikmotion Hi, yes, I noticed that in some circumstances/ painting workflows, the weights on some vertices get extremely low and then floating number precision problems kick in. I'll try to prioritize the investigation how to best solve this
@borovikmotion Жыл бұрын
@@ViktorasMakauskas it feels like when the vertices weight is low - maya is trying to reassign it using some maya logic. So result looks like - majority of vertices have smooth uniform weights, and some vertices suddenly have 0 weight, and in the maya weight map it looks like a black spot. So as the result these vertices pop out. Kind of unclear why this is happening, because ng supposed to override whatever maya is doing

Why not create a complete video tutorial, to perfectly use all the content and possibilities of this plugin. I think it would be more convincing for those of us who are starting to use it and the documentation is not as attractive as the videos. I think it would help to convince for a future purchase. It's just an opinion thanks for your plugin.

Yep, totally agree, actually in progress with just that already - I'm taking a character and skinning from start to finish, with notes on what features I'm using. Should be published in a few days.
