I think everyone goes through this at least once In their lives. I also had a cat, and he was the best cat I could have ever asked for. The best memories I remember about him is, every night he would walk into my bedroom and sleep on my belly, cutest thing ever. He lost brothers and sisters throughout his life but he hung on to the very end. When I found him, I couldn’t believe how sudden it was, I was shattered. But his memory will forever live on in me and as a pillow on my bed. Also, his name was Remy, named after Remus, and his brother was Romy, named after Romus (I don’t even know if I spelled those correctly). Romy ran away and we never found him, and I’m sad that I don’t have any memories of him because it was so long ago. Just hang on brother, I feel you, I’ve been there, and I understand you. ❤️ 🕊️

When my cat damaged her back, she was partially paralyzed. The vet said she probably wouldn’t heal, and the “best” thing for her was to put her down. I refused to do that. I took care of her and nursed her back to health. While doing this, she would wrap her paws around me like this cat and refuse to let me go. It was the bittersweet. She’s healed up now and perfectly healthy. She runs and plays just like she did before the injury. The sweetest little thing she is.

I love all animals, but am deathly allergic to cats...so guess who they come to? 🤣 Figures, so of course I'll pet them, then I pay for that for the next 24 hours, or so, but when they're being sweet like that, how can I not pet them? I'm normally a dog person, but I'm not able to get a dog out & exercise it, properly, so that wouldn't be fair, altho I'm thinking of fostering older dogs. I went into a pet store about 50 years ago, and a tabby kitten reached out and grabbed my hand and cried. I couldn’t leave her, so I bought her. I had her for 17 years. She’s the only cat I’ve ever bought. All the others I’ve gotten from rescues.

I will remember that for this moment in time. That not all people are mean to animals and people. There is hope in this world. We can save as many cats and kittens as we can. Puppies,too. 🐕 s that need homes. And ❤️as well. No man or woman is an island. We can do it. Together.

@@Randy-tp5lm We have two now who were either feral or abandoned when just a day or two old. They were raised by a kitten rescue, eyedropper fed, until they were 8 weeks old and sent back to the vet who'd sent them to the rescue. I'd just had an elderly cat put to sleep, and the vet conspired with my husband to send me pictures of the kittens. I was sunk and I've had them 5 years now. They're the light of our lives, and she's the sweetest, most spoiled little girl I've ever had. Her brother weighs 20 lbs. now while she weighs 11. Sadly, I know that they're the last kittens we'll probably ever have, since we're too old to have kittens trying to trip us! I plan to visit our shelter when they're gone (hopefully a long time away) and see about adopting older kitties who've lost their owners.

An elderly 🐈 being put to sleep,have being already being blessed by the Holy Trinity,since I'm Catholic, may have been one of the hardest things in life ever to not only get over by,but to learn by it,and to appreciate what we cat owners once had. I know I've had so many wonderful memories of what God had given me. And ever since my beloved black-and- white cat who was named Whiskas,had unexpectedly died, because of somebody's malicious intent to hurt the 🐈,while I had been away in my Section 8 apartment (by a cowardly crooked maintenance employee/worker,) I've had other opportunities to save a few kittens just being newborns! NEWBORNS! It's irritating to think why would people do such a thing;just because they don't have a conscience. I'm 50 years old now,and I've seen kittens being killed by stupid kids , thinking it's funny to do that to them. At my old neighborhood. Now,I'm greatful for me being vigilant and determined to be the savior once again,to just accept human nature for the way it is,and just go on with my life. As much as I can. There will be a time when I can no longer be able to take care of ANY pets. I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet. All I can do is simply do what I can in order to take good care for them,until they can get adopted by some cat shelter. A cage free cat indoor 🐈 shelter called The Cattery. Located here in Corpus Christi, Texas. Whiskas had been thirteen human years old. My baby. My me-me also-ow of a darling wonderful 🐈. When I went to the vet,he had informed me that the poor cat had suffered a blow to the head. Since the doors were CLOSED and the precious feline had loved to climb on the opened screen door at the front,and stay perched on top of the wooden door (the first one),I KNOW that it was no accident. So........ I know better than to trust anyone who's a stranger,or by strangers,and I had been helpless and powerless to do anything about it. At the vet's,I had little money to pay for the operation. Gave me something of supposedly some medicine to make the cat feel better. All it did was practically put her out of her misery. I hated that. Afterward,if I had the money to get her creamated,have a mini-ceramony,and have a minister from some church,and recite a few Hail Mary's.... I'd do it. Have a few people attending. And that'd be it.
