So sad.I advice families to pursue justice unrelentlessly.Our judiciary has a human face .I saw this in our family and it touched on our ancestral land I rallied the family to stand very firm.Despite a marriage certificate the high court upheld the sanctity of family.We got justice.One thing people have is laziness to face the law.

My condolences to the family but so many questions in my head... This is a family of 2 wives and the fist wife died in 1958 and the second wife was married.. Who changed the title deed in 2004?? Was it the the late father or the wife?? And whom was it transferred to?? If at all the land was transferred by the husband wen he was alive then there's journey ahead🤔🤔. Hapa Kuna kitu haieleweki the step mother said when the husband died said kila mtu akae kwa shamba yake.

Now they want to bury their brother on the land that the second wife inherited. As for changing names on titles, the second wife had the right to do so because that was her share. Mzee even said, “ andu maikare Kwao.”

Cremation is best anyway. The government ought to invest in more modern crematoria. The oven type, like my wife and I have chosen. Hii ya wahindi ya kuni is very damaging,environmentally. I’m surprised that modern funeral homes like Lee, Montezuma and Chiromo ,don’t have gas or electric crematories on their premises. Or do they? I could be wrong.

To me the second wife has a right to refuse burial, reason: their father married the second wife, who is an equal share holder of the land, 50,50..if the acreage was 2, then one acre of land each. gachunngwa as they call her becomes your step mother, so she has a right of inheritance.. i feel so sad for the loss of that family,, too wise to cremate than had double tragedy .

The father/husband/owner had said the land should be divided into two parts: 1) Gachungwa gets half 2) The children of the first wife get the other half. Gachungwa is wrong. She won’t even let the children of the first wife be buried there.
