NH90 TTH & NFH in Action

NH90 has been sized and conceived to be able to operate from any type of prepared or unprepared surfaces and to satisfy already in its basic design the entire specific feature requested by tactical transport requirements.
Sharing common basis, only the on-board mission system differentiates the two main versions TTH (Tactical Transport Helicopter) and NFH (NATO Frigate Helicopter).

Love the NH90, ever since I first played extinction on Call Of Duty Ghosts whith an NH90 by the call sign Black Flag 4-2 providing support. Something about them, they look epic, do epic things, and it is a helo and I love helos.

Yes as medevac we have some I believe even right now in Afghanistan BTW:GErmany hasn't any restictions anymore regarding its military so it's not ban which prevented the S&R NH90

I just read a report according to which the German Navy says the NH90 is unsuitable for the Navy they would rather have one from Sikorsky (it doesn't read which one).I know it's new and it has some problems but what really bothers me is that we didn't manage it or EADS to get some S&R helis for the Bundeswehr.I don't know what caused the failure the lack of money or EADS.Do you know if the NH90 is in service as an S&R heli?

So ... This is what the (Royal) Australian Navy now operates having completely trashed the Sea King fleet? Though ageing but venerable I knew they had been retired but had no idea the NH90 had replaced them until I saw this. Great video - thanks for posting / sharing on here :o)

9 years on and the NH90 fleet has been trashed as well. Although Ukraine is interested in acquiring advanced composite framed helos, NATO is blocking the transfer of sensitive technology. More like flimsy carbon fibre embarrassment

French army used both Nh 90 and Caracal Caracal in Afghanistan was the best. Flew when Black hawk couldn t... Polland prefer this american helicopters and materials just for politics. Polland prefer Usa to Europe and France.

Here in GErmany with the Bundeswehr there were some reports I couldn't really believe.One thing was the rampe couldn't bear soldiers and they must not stomp on the rampe because it would break.Then the seats and that the NH could only land on solid ground and and and.Don't get me wrong I hope for our soldiers the NH 90 will be a good thing but Eurocopter belongs to EADS and EADS ist well known in Germany for its fuck ups BTW The Bundeswehr wanted to have some S&R helis but EADS couldn't deliver

actually it was made by the Italian Industry Leonardo, the old Finmeccanica and AgustaWestland. And built with the support of the Major European "Superpowers" like France,Germany, Italy. After more Countries asked for this beauty: Belgium, Norway,Greece,Oman, New Zeland,Spain.. Even the Australian changed their choppers with the NH90 ( They Had the BlackHawk )
