Well, this is pretty fascinating. You gotta give that guy credit for putting that all together. I think it is amazing that he was able to find an iconoscope tube in brand new condition to use in that. Definitely this is something that is of great historical value.

This is truly amazing craftsmanship--beautiful packaging job and the pictures are fantastic. I had (and sold) some RCA TK-60 4.5" Image Orthicon (IO) cameras in the 1970s. They made gorgeous pictures, too, back in the day, but to make an Iconoscope camera today is truly amazing. Congratulations!!!!!

What impressive concept, design work and implementation! The craftsmanship and effort shown made me watch this video several times! This camera is NOT WORTHLESS. It is of great value to those who appreciate dedication to an idea and final outcome of that idea. What an equally impressive workshop too! Now to repair the cracked iconoscope! CRTs are rebuilt-- why not this failed iconoscope tube?

Saludos Desde Argentina. Atte Carlos Gomez.

@pvx I too am anticipating on building an image orthicon camera using one of my 3 inch IO tubes I imported from the states. I've already built a vidicon camera as a lead up project from an old schematic n it's making pictures though far from perfect, I've uploaded a video feed from my homemade vidicon to my channel.
