Just so he knows the difficulty does not affect how hard simulating the game is it only changes difficulty of how the i game ai is. Alot of people agree that "AllStar" is the best difficulty to watch as it seems the most "real"

Here’s an Idea- ur only allowed to sign 5 or less players in free agency and you can only resign 2 to 3 players a year. You could do a rule where the first year u can’t have a player above a certain overall as well. So far really like the new series idea!

Just take big contracts and trade them for picks and cap room, or other pieces. If you can get some extra draft picks, you can always combine them for a higher pick. Get as many pieces as possible, you have to fill your AHL team still, and you'll have room at FA after the draft to fill depth. I was able to get 2 3rds for JVR, and offer sheet Kubalik. Trade anyone who doesn't want to re-sign/you don't want to re-sign at the draft for picks.
