Video idea. Get the first overall pick and draft bedard. Then trade him down to the second overall team and get a huge hall. Than trade the second overall pic to the third team and get another big package and see how much stuff u can get just for bedard

Its good to not have too many star defensemen especially if you want your best defenseman to do well. If they are surrounded by 85-86 overall players they tend to do well, if you have several stars on defense then the points get distributed more evenly.

i forgot to say my thing on contracts, go with realistic deals. In MLB the show you can do cheese contracts like 15 years for a 30 year and back load it to make them cheap until they are basically retired. Ruins the fun compared to a realistic deal

Anyone else ever notice in franchise mode when you sign a elite player that has a good year over 80 points and they ask for 8.25 mil and you give them 9 mill say their potential will change from elite to top 6 forward happens to me most of the time , Crosby was a free agent elite and I signed him for more than what he asked for and when the next season started he drop to medium top 6 forward. ?

As players age their potential drops, Crosby was probably declining already in your game and over the summer lost OVR and potential
