Give bedard what he’s asking for. Real life players sometimes take discounts if they like the direction a team is heading. Loyalty still counts somewhere. It’ll make the team more competitive too if he gets less than market value.

I'd take what Bedard is asking. I don't really understand why you wouldn't. It'll help make your team more competitive in the long run. Plus like someone else mentioned sometimes players take less if they like the team and whatnot. I'd 100% offer what he's asking.

for some players I think their asking price being that low doesn't make sense but I think its actually kind of realistic that he's taking a bit of a pay cut because he knows the direction the team is headed and wants to be competitive.

One thing you should alter. Turn injuries on and set frequency to 10. That way you still get to shuffle rookies into your lineup but won’t miss major time overall

Try to get him under 10mil. That’s a team player move. Those couple of millions will be cruicial for future cap space. And remember - these are not real people, it’s a computer sim lol

Crosby and Mcdavid both signed for about 15% of the cap for their first non-ELC contracts, so that’s probably a fair thing to do for Bedard

would love to see you do a franchise mode where you take more care and stuff with the drafts. Instead of gambling on potential all the time that may not be there, look more into stats and attributes and do more scouting etc.
