@@DinoKrista no, it’s not broken. They’re not gonna feed u easier matchups to get your 10 wins… it’s luck of the draw, who’s online, what your rank is, etc

@ It is because the skill base matchmaking should match you with same win / loss players not all the way around. The more you win the harder games get and that’s why going 20:0 is hard. I never said they should feed me easy opponents but if someone lose 10 games on a row they should never face someone who won 10 in a row in game 11. Skill based matchmaking isn’t luck

Love that you got the 10 wins!!! You are right about the matchmaking being off. I was 7-7 (worst start for me for years) won 6 straight, finished 13-7, made zero sense

I am div 4. Just kept getting matched in Champs with whales with every chase card and loaded with MSPs that were way better than me. I ended up only getting 6 wins and I didn't even bother finishing the last few games because mathematically my chances of getting to 10 were eliminated. In NHL 24 I could get 10-12 wins easily. I wasted all week trying to qualify for Champs, only to get nothing out of it. They need to go back to collectibles and set rewards rather than wins with static rewards. It was such a waste of time I am not going to play HUT anymore. The pack rewards are so poor that not getting the stupid card means I just wasted a bunch of my time for NOTHING. There is no video game I play in my entire library where I invest 10-15 hours of my week and get nothing for it. This was such a demoralizing experience that my desire to click on the mode from the main menu has evaporated entirely. Fuck you, EA. Make a better game.

This weekend was the hardest it ever was, everyone was playing the champs and chased the best centre in game, I usually get 7/9 wins this year when it was 9 or 11 last week. I understand the frustration but I find that this year isn’t hard for people who spend loads of time in the game as you can get one MSP each week for free and loads of coins to make X factor captains or other good cards

@Lungz1344 I can grind offline to get 1 msp per event without having to buy packs (spend money). You're missing the point. These people have 3-4 MSPs from recent events. They are clearly spending money. I am not willing to do that, therefore, fuck this game. Fuck your "skill issue" critique. Nobody cares. I already acknowledged the skill part of it. I DON'T CARE if you think I suck at the game. I am better than the average player. I've been playing this game for more than a decade. I made video games for a living, I can see it from both the player and dev side of things. HUT is a brutal mode that combines psychological tricks and random number generator nonsense and horrible matchmaking to punish the player. Take your "skill issue" nonsense and troll elsewhere.

@ I’m not a troll and I didn’t say you suck, I’ve spent 0$ and still have my 4600 pre order points… grind offline and do all challenges and objectives and you can get MSPs no problem. Having a good team doesn’t make you a good player… plus the cards they give away for free are good enough to compete. Stop complaining and focus on what u need to do rather than thinking the answer is to hand out cards to those who have trouble. I’ve literally built Matthews from cover event, Jagr/MacKinnon/Chara from supernatural, J Bo from off the charts, plus there’s the free Panarin objectives, 87 Eichel, weekly moment players, Hut champs players, etc etc etc Literally u get so many free cards and players it’s impossible not to make a good team. Oh and I’m sitting on 1.7 million coins, without playing the market. Packs are trash dude, most good players don’t even buy packs as they’re not worth it.

I went 10-6 but it was Sunday at midnight had to get ip at 530.And wasn't worth grinding for some crap packs.So I started 4 straight games and quit after 30 seconds to give other people a shot at joe.

For me champs I was very unlucky. I mean I was 9-8 then when I was about to finish my last 3 games, it said ”results avaliable soon” meaning the time for playing champs had ended! I was so mad and didnt know this, I thought it would end in like tuesday-wednesday but it ended today like 5h ago.. so goodbye Joe for me..

Damm, it’s because it starts at different time now as well. There are timers all over the screen when you enter champs but it always ends on Monday morning. That’s why I try and do my all games on Saturday and Sunday

@@DinoKristait’s literally hut champs, it’s open division… you’re not gonna play low division players because you’re low division lol it’s supposed to be hard. HUT Champs not HUT Casuals. Focus on getting better, defensive strategies, etc.

Champs matchmaking works that if you are 2-8 you are not matching 8-2, the first 3 placement games are open matchmaking but after it’s not the same. The more you win the harder opponents you face, not like in Rivals where every game is same skill level

@@DinoKrista it’s open division, of course as you win more you’ll face harder opponents because people with more wins and higher rank in hut champs are typically better players. Just because you’re 2-8 does not guarantee you’re gonna face someone who’s 2-8, yes you’ll get a lower ranked match but if he’s 2-1 and you’re 2-8 you both still have 2 wins and are ranked closely. As a D4 player are you really that surprised you’re lucky to get 10 wins? I’m D2 since beginning of year and typically get 12-14 wins. I’ve been playing nhl since you were a young kid most likely lol

@ Google how skill based matchmaking should work. I am not arguing but that’s how it was explained by EA and it should work the way it’s designed. If you both have 2 wins I get it but if someone have 10 wins and someone have only 2 you shouldn’t be facing each other

Jack eichel's just like every other card is not even that special, I believe in hut Champs I can play against anyone that is in hut Champs no matter their division no matter their rank. I can't believe people still can't win without doing the skill-based one t

Eichel is good for me and plays great. Champs always had skill based matchmaking except this year. One T is the same as cross crease last year, it’s in the game so people will use it.

@DinoKrista yeah it just shows mad lack of skill if that's what people go to is the skill bases 1 t, and like I said when I go into hut champs, I expect that I could play the best person that got a champ collectible or I could play the worst person that got a champs collectible, so that way I don't even care about skill-based matchmaking a lot of people just use sbmm as an excuse in a lot of games

I think thenx to bs inconsistent gameplay ea have one game ea give you boost and ai be like on steroids next game your ai just stand next to puck and dont give a shit about it:D

I have people in the discord saying how weird it was, a lot of easy or super hard games because of who you matched against. Not sure if EA does it on purpose or it’s just in our heads but the gameplay isn’t consistent at all

Agreed the matchmaking was strange this week, it worked it my favor though. I started 10-0 for the first time in years but the skill based kicked into full gear and finished 14-6

Always save every 75+. 75 for xfactor, 76 for icons and 77 for team builders. Eventuelly you will leave enough to complete sets.
