I still don’t understand what happened there. Ref starts by saying “the puck crossed the goal line before...” so it does sound like he’s saying it’s a good goal. What was the context here I missed this game?

@@Lady_Vengeance The puck crossed before the net came off but due to goaltender interference it is no goal. It was a weird way of breaking it down when they could've just stated no goal because of interference.

There's a game I believe against San Jose where David Rittich actually put his arms in the air in celebration when the play was going the other way but then the Flames lost. So Rittich did it again at 4:50 and he was right that time haha

The pens goal where the horn blew from the crossbar, then they actually score. It shouldn't count if they start the goal horns. It makes the players that didn't see it think it was a goal. If that happens, the play should be blown dead and reset at the time the horn went off. Besides that, it could be distracting. Imagine trying to keep your head in the play as a goalie with an air horn in your ear.

Except it's the refs that do the officiating. Not the guys that light up the goal light, the horns, the cheerleaders, ... Play to the whistle is what taught in sports, for good reason.

@@rivahkillah I agree. I would've done the same thing. I never said that the Pens player shouldn't have tried to score. I'm saying that the refs should've killed the play as soon as it happened. There's a reason they play music and all kinds of other stuff until the puck drops. Because they don't want to distract them more than the fans do. And with a goal horn and light going off, everyone stops playing because they think the puck went in the net... which is why the refs needed to stop play. Most refs would and have... but, it's the Pens so....... I mean, I literally said, "the refs should've stopped play". I said nothing about it just simply not counting. Ref's mistake. Fact. Not the players'.
