One hell of a captain for sure. Goaltending is such a lonely and mentally draining position. You let one goal in and suddenly you're forced to not be stuck inside your head. For him to keep checking up on Hart says he cares about his goalies. Sometimes all we need is for someone to tell us that it's ok and that it's not all our fault.

Unfortunately, he probably had to do that a lot last year. :( Hopefully getting Ryan Ellis makes this defense NHL-level again and helps to restore Carter's confidence. He looked like a broken young man last year.
