Snake was happy the Habs stayed at five and expected them draft Cayden Lindstrom. However, the Blue Jackets draft at 4 and will probably pick a centreman. I remember they went off the board in the 2016 draft and drafted Pierre Luc Dubois at 3 when Puljujarvi was the consensus pick. The Canadiens were to trade Subban to Edmonton for Edmonton's fourth pick to draft Dubois but the deal fell through when Dubois was gone.

Nobody mentioned that the top of next year's draft is all forwards so if you want a Dman for your rebuild and you know you're going to be bad next year, you might have to grab one now. There is a definite possibility Chicago does not take Demidov imo.

If Demidov, Levshunov and Lindstrom are taken before their pick, they have to go with the BPA even if it’s another D. Worst case trade him. Plenty of teams would be interested in Parekh or Buium. Prospect swap or could get an older NHL ready forward.

It’s about adding value. Always go with highest value. Unless the seperation between bpa and the team need is small.

Yep you really want the guy who said the WHL has inflated numbers lol it's the most talented junior league in Canada. Last 5 years 29 first rounders have come from the WHL, while the Q had 12 and the OHL had 19 first rounders. The dude has no clue what he's talking watching WHL games especially the last 5 is like watching a NHL game with the amount of talent the league has.

Snake has no clue what he is talking about when it comes to the WHL. Point and Reinhart were both in the top ten for goals and Drai was just outside of the top ten. The WHL is notoriously known for being more defence orientated then the other two leagues as the goals per game are usually lower than the other two leagues and significantly lower than the Q. Like if any league has inflated numbers it's the Q Laff put up Crosby like numbers in the Q and he will be lucky to put up 85 points in the NHL. I can see why this guy is not employed by a NHL team he's a hack. Most of the young top talent now comes from the WHL, just from the last five drafts alone the WHL has produced 29 first rounders while the QMJHL has produced 11 and the OHL produced 19 first rounders. Like to say the most talented Junior league in Canada has inflated numbers is just idiotic. What does that say about the other two? Especially the Q. Honestly this clown just reeks of western Canadian hate.

NHL draft lottery is an absolute joke last year only one team draft position moved(Chicago) out of 16 teams. This year out of 16 teams nobody changed draft position. How is it possible one one change in two years out of 2x16=32 draft positions? Why don’t we see 11 go to 9 or 8 to 5? Waste of time no team changes draft position, therefore teams can rank and get rewarded. The integrity is an illusion.

I agree. This draft is totally rigged. It is absolutely impossible with the pre draft odds, that these teams pretty much draft in the order that they finished the season. There should be far more of a jumble up of teams, based on randomness of a draw. It's shocking that people can't see this.
