@@politicalbandwagon4989 Of course I disagree that there's no hitting/hard contacts in Football I have played at a somewhat high level and I have received many many hard sliding tackles in my ankles and shins, some forearm shoved in my back, some (unintentional) head-butts, got knocked down by goalkeepers' fists (either my own GK or the opponent) many times, etc. etc. OF COURSE the contacts are much harder in hockey or American Football BUT the protection gear is like an armour, they have a LOT of protection (rightly so!) Whereas in Football, there's almost no protection (barely) but we still get the contacts described above , so believe me : it can hurt as hell, since we have barely any protection.

I like seeing these great players get called for some of their crap, I'm talking about players like Weber, Chara, Ovey, Malkin, Pavelski, and Toews to name a few. (not saying these are the only ones) It's well known that Marchand and Crosby are well known divers, and a few other greats have had a few too many of these moments too; But it shows that everyone does it at one point or another and it is part of the game. Granted I think it is all BS but it is still there. On another note some of these are borderline where the player was just caught off guard and got right up to continue play.
