There are a lot of great ones in here! As a lover of anything Winter Classic, I was a fan of seeing so many of them - as unrealistic as having that many are. Fun fact for that weird Senators shoulder patch: Ottawa's first hockey club was established in the early 1880s and the logo featured a solid red tribal image with three legs and six-pointed lines coming out of it. Definitely a callback to the original team from almost 150 years ago. Great video as always!

The Ottawa Senators shoulder patch is a logo the original Ottawa team used way back in 1883. Before the "O" logo came around, and they where more know as the Generals, then eventually Silver Seven, then eventually the Senators name.

Reverse Retro - Taking a design from the past, and doing a colour swap to a few key elements of it. Example would be the Phoenix Coyotes taking their green Dessert uniform, and then swapping the green for orange Heritage/Stadium Series - Lumping them together because its very similar stylistically, but a lot of these are either straight throwbacks or fauxbacks. Think of a uniform that could have existed in the pre-expansion era of the NHL. The original Winter Classic had Pittsburgh and Buffalo wear their uniforms from the 1970s. The most recent Winter Classic had 2 expansion teams wear uniforms that either called back to the cities history, or something that may have been worn in the 40s/50s. Stadium Series - Typically use big, bold designs. Very modern and utilize designs that aren't typically seen. My favorite is Washingtons WEAGLE jersey from last year, and some of the original Stadium series had teams wearing chromed out jerseys and logos.

For the Montreal one, I would add the accent on the e. Being French is super important in the province of Quebec. So "MONTRÉAL". The twisted style and fonts for the CAR v NYI Stadium Series, I love! Just wow! So, original. But yeah. I would just stretch the numbers instead of putting them into words. The green style Mootaurus should be whatever reversed retro 3.0. For L.A it says Los Angeles twice. I would remove the one at the bottom. Minnesota Wild away/home jersey idea is clever / nice. 👍 That Toronto jersey got a nice throwback towards the use of red in the Maple Leafs wording. Just subtle enough. Great touch.

Give me that Detroit jersey as a 3rd for one season. LOVE it. Callback to their 1920's jerseys season in the NHL when they were still the Cougars/Falcons. That was actually their primary logo. Also, that's the best Devils jersey I've ever seen.

Realistically, Fanatics would most likely do what they do with ALL of their “products”: use the same template and design for ALL 32 teams and just slap the teams logo on the front and call it a day. Unimaginative, unimpressive, life-sucking, and puke inducing.

I like the effort for originality with the number spelt out, but I don't see them doing that partly because not all of their audience can read English. It's something I can also see looking weird depending on the length of the number (one vs seventy seven). I'm also pretty sure there won't be any new main jersey designs coming in 2024-25. From the ESPN article "Everything you need to know about the NHL-Fanatics jersey deal": Typically, teams inform the NHL around April that they're thinking about doing a jersey or logo change for the following season. Many of them aren't acted upon: Either a team gets second thoughts or it goes through the design process and doesn't find a good alternative. That design process can be an intense and lengthy one, which is why the NHL will ask teams to put a hold on uniform overhauls for the time being. Jennings said that outside of anniversary jerseys that have to be produced in a timely manner, teams will likely hold off on any major redesigns until after Fanatics is "up and running" as the official uniform maker. "You'll probably see minimal changes. We'll ask the teams for their cooperation in that," he said. "We want to make sure that we're delivering a high-quality product and not have any types of delays. Designing or redesigning a uniform is where a lot of times the biggest delays happen."
