The best fight video I recall was a bench clearing fight, both teams. The goalies stood in their creases, looked at the fight, then each other. Nodded, took off their gloves and helmets and skated to mid ice and went at it.

I watch Mic'd up nhl players and sometimes when they fight they are like "Good fight" or "Nice job" Such good sportsmen

Can You explain this to me? I mean they fight because of a reason and are angry and stuff. I See a lot of guys smiling meanwhile fighting each other. So is it a fight just for the reason to fight and having fun or do these guys really trying to make a Statement?

@@Jayel125 yeah that's why I said sometimes. If u watch a vid of them mic'd up, then u will see it. Fights sometimes happen because they want to fight and stuff like that. It isn't always because they are angry.

@@Jayel125 Sometimes they do it in order to hype up the rest of the team or try to change the momentum. If you look at the more physical players if their team is down sometimes they go out on the ice looking for any reason to fight.

Gucci Hathaway Same, except he’s an absolute coward. He attacked both McDonagh and Wilson before giving them a chance to drop their gloves and he still managed to get destroyed in both fights. The first fight was closer, but Wilson absolutely pummeled Lemieux in the second fight

adamschannel Fighting is part of the unwritten code of hockey! Helps to release tension between players and prevents serious injuries due to players blowing up! Search Hockey fighting code and you will find videos explaining it in detail.

The Refs are much quicker to jump in now than ten years ago due to the concussion lawsuits etc. And when they hit the ground the fight is over. Honorable players dont hit once they are on the ice.

They are technically against the rules, but it is only a 5 minute penalty, no fines or suspensions unless it is dirty fighting.
