Honestly didn't think the Canes were gonna pull it off, Preds were SO TOUGH!! Saros was difficult to get the puck by him if the D hadn't blocked the shot already, he couldn't be scored on directly, only impossible tips or onetimer passes made it in the net. First round was a War on its own, kudos Smashville, hope the Canes never get match up there again......EVER!! 💪🏒♠️

Proud of the Preds. They didn't roll over and continued to punch a more skilled, heavily favored team right in the face. An average, mediocre powerplay may have made the difference as well. This fanbase, however, deserves far more. This game was over towards the end of the 3rd when Yakov Trenin had possession and lazily chose not to skate two more feet across the redline to dump it in without an icing. We'll remember that pathetic puck management like the Martin Erat turnover vs Chicago in Game 5 of the 2010 series. I also hope Josi is okay cuz he was out the last period. Best of luck, Canes...helluva team you have with a bright future after ten years in the abyss. Although, if this series is indicative of anything, TB may be a challenge for you...TB in 6.

Truth! Worst officiating I have seen in any series since '93. They even botched a bunch of obvious icing calls for crying out loud. The fact that their screwups always came at the Cane's expense made it extra ugly.
