Look...how many times has to be mentioned that these highlights are being made while the game is still going on and that's the main reason why we often see much of the first period while the rest of the game has been squeezed in that shorter frame so we can watch it several minutes after the game has ended so it's perfectly normal that some things are forgotten to be mentioned and whether they are forgotten on purpose or its an honest mistake well that's whole other thing...

That says more about the team than the coach imo. Lalonde needed to go, but just because you don’t like your coach doesn’t mean you should put no effort into your game, that part is on the players.

Yeah he's been really impressive the last 5 years or so... The way he doesn't back-check, stays on for full 2 minute PPs not moving, and the way his team tries to feed him low percentage shots late in the game instead of focusing on actually playing to tie it up. What a rock star!

I get the feeling that Lalonde was not working these guys hard enough in practice. His soft approach is evident after Todd has been in charge less than a week. He makes these guys work in practice and has a no non sense approach. The days of "we had looks" or "we didn't get the push" blah blah blah, that crap is over from what I've seen from Mclelan.

Lindgren goofed 4th goal otherwise he played ok. Caps lost so many 1vs1 battles in own zone and that cost few goals. Hopefully next game they are more focused.
