Great win tonight. Kudos to Yzerman for changing the game plan and focusing on adding experienced goalscoring this year. Nice to see the Wings finally not needing to be sellers at the trade deadline. With Tampa faltering, there's room for another playoff team in the division...possibly.

It's a relief seeing the Capitals lose, I was beginning to worry that the management wasn't going to sell at the trade deadline. I just wish that they hadn't done so much damage to Lindgren's trade value in the process. I hope that Detroit can beat up Florida in round 1 of the playoffs. It was great seeing former Red Wing Anthony Mantha beat up Cousins a few days ago. Florida and Cousins need another beating.

Well, look back to the last 2 games, Washington beat two good teams and lost in OT to Florida the night before and then had to play back-to-back games and got Detroit. It was apparent that Washington was beat the moment they started skating on the ice.
