Backlund has been consistent for many years - always producing and fighting hard. They should make him captain. I like Markstrom, but I am not sure if he is the right fit for the Flames. I would rather have Vladar in the net. Too many give aways by the Flames cost them this game.

@6:46 How did Flyers' 4th goal come anywhere close to counting!? Allison was practically tending goal for the flames! Edit: I slowed it right down and paused. @7:03 Allison is already deep into the Flames crease when the puck is still sitting back at the face-off dot even before the pass.

Umm because of the rules? The NHL abolished the "no crease" rule prohibiting players from entering the crease before the puck, So now players may enter the crease but can't interfere with the goalie.

Id question more how he is there all alone with zero coverage... That's got nothing to do with either the Goaltending or the Coaching the two things blamed mostly for the Flames troubles, but its the reason they have said troubles. They are trying too hard for offence, sacrifice defensive play all game so you can get two goals and one that should never have gone in.

Another let down by Calgary. Every year they get my hopes up and then, bang they rip the carpet out from under me. At least they're consistent with the disappointment. When they got Markstrom, I thought they might finally have a decent goaltender. Again, another disappointment. Wonder when it will be that I finally give up hope and start cheering for a different team (sigh).

Allison needs a lesson on hockey etiquette, which I'm sure he will hear in the dressing room! You don't celebrate your goal in the crease. Even his own players were trying to pull him away from the net! This is something that has been happening a lot lately, not surprisingly. A lot of the old unwritten rules don't exist with these young "Super" stars. Shame!!
