Dude i tip my hat off to matheson tonight …he made a play on the last two goals before he scored the ot winner himself ! Lets not forget the guy is a hometown native ! At 4:30 incredible play in his own d zone to get the puck out that led to barrons goal ! Definitely a keeper for the future good days to come

I think it was genious to put Dach with Suzuki and Caufield for a while and have him gain confidence. Now back at center, he's truly becoming the 2nd-line center and it gives Montreal some depth

Not a real big fan of the "blue" jerseys but I am a big fan of the gutsy win! I didn't like how long it took to determine if the goal winning play was onside! The call on the ice was "on-side" so any over turning evidence has to be 100% or the call on the ice stands! It should not take that long! If the Islander players though it was offside they would have stayed on the ice! Tim Peel refereeing???? 🤷‍♂🤷‍♂ my OPINION without prejudice 🦂

It is unfortunate that the announcers are biased against Montreal. Every time there is a goal, they make it feel wrong and shouldn't have happened. A very poor job that they do.

That blue jersey is neat at the 1st look...but it is just wrong for the Habs...he'd be like a red Yankees jersey...you just dont mess with perfection and this level of tradition. I would make the offside rule different. if it's not an obvious offside like waiting on the other side of the line or obviously coming in the offensive zone before the puck carrier, none of that super precise fraction of a second review of if the skate crossed the line before or after blablabla. As long as the puck is "with" the player when crossing in the offensive zone, if the ref (or coaches) don't see an obvious offside then the play can go on, and it keeps the game going longer and/or allows fore potentially "more" scoring chances. If the play makes it all the way to a goal, and it gets turned over because on the video you can see that some forward guy crossed the line 0.225 seconds before the puck carrier (because he had a bit more speed).... it's like...common guy, it feels sore kinda like sore looser... it's a game where people smash each other and are even allowed to fight, but then they get all nerdy with their instant replay on skaters skating. it's not to see if there was goalie interference, if the puck crossed the goal line or not, if a player is embellishing a hit or if a penalty needs to be called... If I was referee though I'd be calling offsides half the time when they are not offside hahaha ("I swear he looked like he crossed over before the puck carrier!")
