The Denver broadcasters are paid to help sell the home team product , so they're going to try to keep their customer base interested, even in a blowout loss. Winnipeg broadcasters and the broadcasters for every other team in the NHL all do the same thing.

Midway through the game we lost the TSN (Canadian) feed and for a few minutes they switched us to whatever the local (American) feed was with their announcers...God that was hilarious! No wonder their fans boo players for setting up behind the net. The hockey IQ appears to be single digits in Colorado.

That was a serious warning for Avelanche for play offs. They will meet there again. Jets is a dangerous counter attack team with physically strong big center forwards. Those guys are hard to move out in front of the goalie. Plus Hellyenback as goalie. Gonna be intresting play offs ahead.

@@annemarie1507 In this game it looked like Georgiev probably missed one or two saves he shoulda had, but one of the better goaltended 7-0 blowouts I've seen. As a Jets fan, I don't watch a lot of Avs hockey, but goaltending is the one clear advantage Winnipeg has over Colorado. By the numbers, Georgiev is a slightly below average NHL starter, and there's not really a backup to speak of, but Winnipeg has the Vezina favorite and a backup who has better numbers in most every column but wins.

Been a long time coming. I don't think Lord Stanley has been won here since 1902. Those three Avco Cup wins in the WHA back in the 70's were incredible but a Stanley Cup win by this new Jets team would be more than welcome.

Jets are for real, and not frauds like some say. They have beaten Colorado 3 games straight and in convincing fashion. They also just shut out the 1st place Stars, and have beaten other top teams this year. If their goalltending continues to play like this, they have a very good chance at winning the Western Conference title, and onward to the Stanley Cup finals. GJG

I’ve been an Avs fan all my life, I’ve gotta say this season the fans don’t deserve home ice playoff with how they’ve been acting and treating the team. Avs golfing by Cinco de Mayo. Two statement games against the Stars and Jets, and the Avs weren’t even competitive in either…both at home. They don’t keep the puck out of their net. Their goals against is among the worst of the playoff teams. Between sloppy defense all year and mediocre at best goaltending, no way they beat Hellebucyk 4 times.
