@@shug2795 some pieces of the D played horribly. Others played well, but our forwards were horrible at forechecking and helping the D out. That 2-0 giveaway was brutal and it was made by our forwards, for example. Sammy stood on his head though, and is the only reason we won last night

Fair comment. The shots on goal early in the 2nd period were Winnipeg 21 and the Leafs 7; then, by the end of the 3rd period, they were tied with 28 shots apiece. Got to give the Leafs credit where credit is due.

Sammy has shown he can be an all star goalie, its just his consistency he needs to work on. I hope the leafs hold on to him, and work with him, because I see him becoming a top tier goalie, with the right guidance.

dude he was an amazing goalie last season, he is probably one of the main reasons why we broke our first-round curse that lasted for 19 years or 2 decades. He fell into a tragic awful slump but it seems he is starting to figure things out and finally come back to the goalie we all knew and loved. This means so much to him and I hope this is going to be the start of him being back to the great reliable goalie we loved and cherished last season!

Happy we got the win, happy for Sammy and Roberson but man.. we got lucky the jets outclassed us all game we even got some generous calls, Just feels like this game really highlights our very glaring weaknesses but take the win I guess Jets will be laughing come playoff time unless the leaf improves defensively out of nowhere but for a stand alome game fun to watch!!

Jets played really well, and had the better of the play. Without their top 3 players in Scheifele, Villardi and Morrissey, it's very hard to win. The Toronto goalie played really well, and so did the Jets goalie. Should be a great next game between these 2 clubs, this upcoming Saturday. Very entertaining tight game.

Leafs had absolutely no business even tying this game. Sammy stood on his head 24/7 and was the sole reason Leafs even had a chance against the Jets. 0 for 5 power plays, and even a couple of soft calls in favour of the Leafs. Brutal giveaways and horrible connection between defense-neutral-attack. These two points go to Sammy, and to some extent Benoit who has been the best defenseman for the Leafs this season. GG Jets, you guys deserved the point and the Win, but that's how Hockey works sometimes. You will possibly go way farther than the Leafs on the Playoffs if Leafs reach it.

As I watched, I noticed that the best thing Sammy did was not flop all over the place. He restricted his movements only to those that were needed and stood his ground. He also played with confidence and did not panic on the two man breakaway. He played great but more important, he played smart! Leafs are lucky to have him.
