This is the best I've seen the defense play as a unit in my 28 or so years of watching the Panthers. This team is going to be an insanely tough out in the playoffs, and I don't think there is a team out there that we can't beat in a 7 game series.

Watching this game tonight it is hard to believe that Vegas won the Stanley Cup last year. They look slow and could not score on 6 power plays and 2 man advantage. The only Vegas player to score tonight was the NHL minimum wage player on the team, making under 1 million a year. The 5-10 million dollar players contributed nothing. The goalie although not playing his best doesn’t have a chance to win a game when your team is scoring 0 or 1 goal a game. Maybe a trade is in order.

Nah VGK will be fine. We lost in the finals because our team was burnt out and really tore up. Tkachuk with a broken sternum, Ekblad played with injuries, Duclair played with injuries, Reinhart played with injuries, and Montour played with injuries. We clinched on game 81, the Penguins and Islanders had to lose, just to make the 8th seed by the skin of our teeth. So we were playing playoff hockey for 20-30 games before the post season even started. Then we had to play a bo7 with the Bruins which was the best thing I witnessed in watching the Panthers my whole life. Down 3-1, they have to win game 5 and 7 in Boston, we're down 3-2 in game 7 in the 3rd with about 2 minutes left, they pull Bob, we tied it to force OT, then beat them in OT, and the chances were so slim I remember the odds and every analyst saying it was over. Sorry I went into reminiscing mode. Anyway VGK will be fine, they've been a top 10 team since their first year.

Bob was fantastic for the 2 5-3's he faced. Luckily he didn't let one in during that time. If we were a bit more healthy the cup would've been won by the panthers. We will win the cup very soon
