If you slow the second replay (camera behind the player skating in) to 0.5x speed you can see the puck be stopped by the pad then bounce back after hitting the stick a second time. Rodriguez didn’t actually make to swings at it.

I said the same but on the over head shot, you can clearly see it. He shot, it bounced off Woll's pad, went right back to his stick and then he continued with his follow through from his first shot. It happened so quickly that it was all technically 1 motion but it left his stick twice, which is a double tap.

When you quickly tap your own rebound. The over head cam (not in this highlight pack) clearly shows the initial shot was saved and the goal was was scored on a rebound.
