Its looking like NY might win the president's trophy. I checked out their schedule....the hardest team they face to end their season....is Philly. The other teams are Montreal, NJ, NYI, Arizona, Pittsburgh.

Just an FYI too. NY swept Boston in the season series this year.....swept Colorado....they swept Dallas. They beat the canes in the season series. New York looks like they could legitimately win the cup. They did goto east finals two years ago remember? Canes won the metro that year....which means they had home ice when NY eliminated them.

@@Siksdev you finished talking to yourself? that was guentzel’s first game with the canes lmao. and he was coming off an injury so not only was that his first game with a new team, it was his first game in a month at all. and he was playing on like the third line. now he’s with aho and jarvis. you seen what they’ve done together? it always takes a minute for a guy to settle in when he gets traded midseason. he’s, uh, done that since. oh. and that game was the canes’ third in four days too. they clearly didn’t have their best either, so… referencing one game out of an 82 game season for an argument is already silly. then to do it with all that context left out is pretty asinine. could just as easily say “the canes d*cked down the rags 6-1 WITHOUT kuzy and guentzel” if you wanna play that game. years past, other teams, the presidents trophy (?? lmao you know that’s a curse if anything right?), i could care less. i hope we do get you in the playoffs now that andersen is back and svech and guentzel are here and healthy. the rangers are a paper tiger. we’ll discuss again in a few weeks.

Somebody in the Wings' organization needs to stop this recurrent silliness. Who are those players with Wings uniforms from the last 3 weeks and who is that head coach? Since Lalonde doesn't have the guts to being a head coach who knows how to make tje right decisions on those lackluster players, then the Wings need to get somebody who does know. I'll tell you all this much. I really feel for Stevie Y on this. He thought he had the right chemistry for this team going into the last several weeks of the schedule. Lalonde and this current Wings roster, with the exception of a few players, couldn't have given a worse performance for a professional hockey team going down the stretch towards the playoffs. Who really knows why Patrick Kane didn't play tonight? What could Patrick Kane be telling himelf regarding the efforts of several of these lackluster rentals on the Wings who can't play defense at the Midget league level, looks like they're also allergic to handling the puck and would rather have the opposing team handle it. Unbelievable pieces of work that these rentals are, especially after Stevie Y pays them millions of $. Several of these rentals would likely not even be trusted flipping hamburgers. They should, or need i say, better save their millions of $'s from their contract with the Wings, because only a team with no brains would sign these rentals to play pro hockey ever again. How pathetic.

Игра показала, что на данный момент Каролина и Детройт команды разного уровня. Каролина в таком состоянии будет одним из главных фаворитов в плей-офф на Востоке, а Детройт с каждой игрой рискует всё больше пролететь мимо плей-офф. Хотя непопадание в плей-офф, возможно, будет даже полезно и заставит Айзермана и Лалонда пересмотреть свои подходы к комплектованию состава. В последний месяц команда просто встала, слаженность действий пропала, в защите страшные дыры, создание угроз воротам соперников даются с трудом. Каролина же все делала быстрее, точнее, слаженней и обдуманней. Отсюда и закономерный результат.

I wish the winning streak would have been at the end of the season. That would create positive hope going into the summer. Instead, a great February only raised expectations to unrealistic heights, where anything short of the playoffs will be a horrendous outcome, rather that simply what we should expect with the current roster. Before the season began no-one expected Detroit to make the playoffs. I just wish we all could remember that for perspective.

Ураганы просто смяли Крыльев в первом периоде. И только вратарь держался до последнего. Со второго периода Крылья сломались. Они даже не прессинговали Каролину в их зоне. Давали спокойно начинать атаки. Кузя выдал прекрасный пас. Вашингтон хоть и проиграл Торонто, но Детройт остался там же где и был. Матч - заглядение.

If you think Yzerman is the problem, you are incredibly immature in thought. Nobody is capable of perfection and one small mistake could be a major difference.
