Don't let 'em off that easily, could've been a hell of a lot better...they didnt backcheck enough, nor did they finish 80% of there checks here, not to mention they didnt have possession of the puck for most of the 60mins of play. You can't score goals if your team doesnt possess the puck for 90% of the hockey game. There a new team so ill give them a tiny little bit of slack but pretty sh*t game played by Utah here.

@ryanj357 No, he's the most selfish player we have. He'd rather shoot it then pass, he doesn't play defense at all, the only takeaway he had last night had the opposing players back turned. He constantly gives up the puck, loses it or gets stripped. His brother doesn't seem any different. He will pass when he has to but is always trying to be #1, but he's far from it. He's not playing for the team, he's playing for himself. He's always been like that but the goals started last year to get a new contract.

​@jeffreycairns767 Well, yeah, the new d core and goaltending is a huge part of that. But I think Berube is also a big part of it, too. They're playing simpler hockey that's far easier to replicate game after game. This team actually looks comfortable playing and winning low scoring games.

Berube is honestly a huge improvement so far... this is easily the longest the Leafs have gone in the last 5 years without imploding, or blowing the lead and needing to win it in OT/SO... the only real question though is if this streak can last throughout playoff time ☠️☠️

I'm in Europe, so i rarely get a chance to see these games as they're broadcast. So, based off of highlights, the Leafs caught what, 7-8 posts`? Seems like this was a much more lopsided game than the score suggets. Also, Marners second goal was disgusting. He made Vejmelka look like an embarassment, just by how easy Marner made it seem. Vejmelka is a really great goalie, and who knows how high his ceiling really is! Point being, this could have happened to ANY goalie in the NHL. Marner was just so slick. The Leafs are currently #1 in the NHL based on their record in the last 10GP. Pretty good stuff. And #1 in the Atlantic, a clear 3 points ahead of Florida. Good time to be a Leaf fan! GLG!!!!!
