So Keith did his job. Katchuck was lucky he recovered enough to play. He said he thought his career was over, he was hit and ground into at least three glass panels. Taught dirty players a lesson that still instills fear. To whoever, might think of ruining a great players career. Like the asshole hit on Lindros. Legal but he knew a head hit would end his career and did it anyway! Don't accuse enforcers who only work when it is a must as dirty. You don't know crap about Hockey. PS. Some of the players were hit so late, they were still laying there the next game! I love hockey, and I think hitting is a huge part of the game, but late hits or dirty hits? No, those types of hits are dangerous and make my heart race when I see them! The NHL needs to do something about those types of hits. I am a Flyers fan, but I never want to see players injured

And this is why the game desperately needs the role of a dying breed and that's enforcers That's the problem guys continue to do this and they don't get penalized and think that they can get away with it. @@MrVin0 it's going to be pretty hard to keep some of that talent around uncertain teams like the Pittsburgh penguins if they don't have it enforcer and somebody to stand up for their guys why do you think Sidney Crosby has been injured the most out of almost any player in the national hockey league as well as having concussions and being cheap shot all the time because guys can get away with it and they're not being held accountable. You can say all you want dude but fighting and having an enforcer on the team is the core of what hockey is. you think a lot of the guys who won so many Stanley cups back in the day would have been able to have been that talented and that good if they didn't have a bunch of enforcers surrounding them making sure that they were protected.

I watched that game and just prior to the, he got decked hard with 2 nasty cross checks which sent him to the ice. You can see him laying in front of the goalie slowly getting up after the second. I think it was more frustration for the missed calls and let his emotions get the best of him. Half a second earlier and it would've been a big clean hit.

Some of the teams in the NHL right now hire players just to do dirty crap like this. I think one way to sort of stop it is to suspend players for the rest of the season who go over a certain amount of penalty minutes or have too many game misconducts. That’ll chill the Bruins, Flyers, Blue Jackets, Stars, and any other team that likes to sign players who do nothing but this.
