I know it's college hockey, but Minnesota's Rhett Pitlick deserves a shout-out for his #HatPick. He committed UNSPEAKABLE deeds against Michigan's defense on his way to a goal this past Saturday, making a defender somehow fall TWICE in the same motion before sending Portillo sprawling the wrong way for an absolutely VILE goal.

Here are some honorable mentions that got missed, though: - Reimer's UNBELIEVABLE save against the Oilers last night, and on Draisaitl as well - Chytil's GORGEOUS goal against the Predators on Sunday - Miller's 4-point PERIOD against the Predators as well (as well as 6 goals by the Rangers, LOL).

Dylan Ferguson had a save ratio of 0.980 in that win over Pittsburgh. It raised his career save ratio from 0.500 to 0.961 !

Between the back to back 6-0 and 7-0 shutouts, Igors scorpion save, Chytils 'mcdavid' goal, Miller becoming the first EVER NYR d-man to have a 4point period etc, NYR scoring six goals in TEN mins etc - this could legit just be an ALL NYR episode of Hat picks and still slap EDIT: annnnd now im super disappointed after watching and only seeing the Igor save...not mad, just disappointed :/

Feel like Jesper Bratt's first career hatty coulda been included... none of the goals were hat picks on their own, but his smile when that bucket hat gets put on top of his head (and helmet) is definitely a hat pick

The effort he put into the third goal, even though it was an empty netter, could still be worthy of a mention. Especially since it was not only his first career hat trick, but also the 100 goal of his career. Couple of milestones should have garnered him a shout out, at the very least.

Any goal/save from the NYR going 6-0 7-0 against PIT and NSH. Kane dishing assists, Chytil going Thanos, Keyandre 4-point-period Miller, Jaro and Igor back to back shutouts, Kreider's goal off the rush off the PK...the Rangers are for real

I really wanted to recommend Byfield's dirty assist to Kopitar against Columbus but felt I should exercise some restraint. That goal from Doughty is a side of him we haven't seen enough of.

A great shot block like that itself is a Hat Pick IMO... then again, I was a power forward in juniors and shot blocks and power moves like Byram's were my forte. So this week was a great hat picks with some great saves to go along with it.

2:15 he was not forced not action with Vegas. He was forced to be a backup. He only got about 9 minutes of ice time when the 4th stringer was getting blown out by Edmonton. Fun fact, his first save was on Connor McDavid.

If my knowledge of assists is correct, that Sharks player that blocked the shot *should* get the secondary assist. It looks like the puck bounces to his teammate who skates the puck into the zone and makes the primary pass to Karlsson, so hopefully he was rewarded personally for his efforts.

It's amazing how flexible NHL goalies r!!? They make ridiculous desperation saves while doing the splits and not hurt themselves!!?? They must do splits alot and really stretch out the groin muscles and make em tougher cuz it's crazy how they stretch out like that!!? I can't even sit Indian style without having to lean back against a wall so the flexibility they have is mind boggling...I'd seriously hurt myself trying to make saves like they make!!? Watching the Marky flop I have to wonder if goalies are being taught to tend the net by professional swimmers? Delay a moment then put the shot high on net for a pretty much guarantied goal. They are all belly flopping these days. Just look at Shisterkin (sp?) what the crab apples is he even doing, there is zero reason for him to be flat on his face at that point. Maybe the ice is just more slippery than it used to be. 😜
