We’re more than happy with Tuch and Krebs. Not only are they both great players, but they both are great representations of who great Buffalo Sabres are. Tuch is a hometown kid who literally can’t go one interview without talking about how proud he is to wear the Sabres crest and represent our city on and off the ice. Eichel needs to stop acting like the only reason he wanted out was because they wouldn’t let him get the surgery. He requested a trade the previous year and quit on the team and our fan base long before that. How can you admit that you wanted out the year before and then try to say that the only reason you wanted out was because of the surgery situation the year after? When a 19-20 player claims that he is by far the best player in the league and in his draft class, and is arrogant enough to give a professional sports team an ultimatum and say that he won’t play if they hire a coach after just playing 1 professional season, you know what type of person he is. Also I have met him at Sabres events before. I was 14 the first time at this charity event that the Sabres put on. He was a bit of an asshole and you could immediately tell that he was definitely shitfaced (so were most of the younger players from that roster). I’m glad we finally have a Sabres team who love to play for their teammates, the fans, and seem like genuinely good people.

I'm not watching this whole thing but here's the correct timeline Eichel in Buffalo for anyone interested: 1) Jack requests a trade in the middle of covid when the entire world was shut down and nobody knew what the heck was going on. 2) Sabres somehow sign Taylor Hall and convince him to give it one more year. 3) Jack gets hurt. Sabres and Jack decide it would be best to discuss surgery and the future after the season ends. 4) Agreement is made that Jack will be traded and will be able to do the whole surgery and rehab process with his new team. 5) To try and force a trade Jack's agents leak news trying to tank his value thinking the Sabres will just want to get it done. 6) Sabres knowing, they can't trade Eichel for a bad return hold out. 7) Jack fires his idiot agents and hirs a qualified agent in Brisson. 8) Deal comes together in a few months after Brisson is hired. 9) Jack decided to take a shot at the fans in his first game back in Buffalo after getting booed and beaten. The Sabres deserve no credit for how they handled it, but Jack made a bad situation 10 times worse than it needed to be.

Sabres we’re 23 points better without him and missed the playoffs by one point. Alex Tuch is a much better player than eichel. Anyone who actually follows the Sabres knew Eichel was nothing but a cancer to the locker room and a coach killer who showed no leadership. The Sabres are far and away better without him. The Sabres have a legit straight up stars in Tage Thompson, Rasmus Dahin, Cozens, Tuch, Powerand Levi. The Sabres are actually a team with great chemistry on and off the ice. There’s a bunch a great players in the system coming up. The greatest thing Buffalo ever did was getting rid that cancer with Pubic Hair for a hairstyle in jack eichel

Jack and Buffalo definitely got messy towards the end. Both sides were pretty tough to each other Jack wanted a surgery that was unprecedented at the time and buf didn’t want him to get it. The sabres also during his time there had no good plan players or supporting leaders. This led to eichel getting blamed for all of buf’s failures which is not fair. Although jack made his share of mistakes too, especially i dont he was ready to be thrust in that leadership role yet and he was a questionable leader throughout his time there. I think both sides are now ok w the situation buffalo is a young star studded team with an actual direction and jack is on a cup contender.

No supporting players?! You've got to be kidding. Aside from signing Taylor Hall at basically Eichel's request, go back to Jack's rookie year, up until even 2017-18. 3 staright years of: Jack Eichel Sam Reinhardt Ryan O'Reilly Evander Kane Kyle Okposo Marcus Foligno Nick Deslauriers Johan Larsson Brian Gionta Matt Moulson Zemgus Girgensens Evan Rodrigues Tyler Ennis Justin Bailey Rasmus Ristolainen Jake McCabe Zach Bogosian Justin Falk Dmitry Kulikov Josh Jorges along with younger guys like Hudson Fasching and Brendan Guhle. These are guys who've made names for themselves for being either great scorers, great 2 way players, great defenders, great energy/role players, and great leaders, and in some case all of the above. You cannot possibly say they didn't have a support system built around him. They even brought in a championship HC in Bylsma. They catered to Eichel every step of the way - made a top paid player at 19/20 years old, hired fired coaches & gm's at his request, signed guys or made trades he wanted. He didn't handle the pressure of the expectations well, and the team and fanbase put too high of expectations on him.

@@jonasgorea3823 yea I agree to some extent. In that it hurts his ego . Though , c’mon McDavid is by FAR the best player in the NHL. He needs to get over that. Do all the other players “feel bad” cause McDavid is better? I mean, maybe to some extent, but they should feel in awe more than anything and move on and play their best like 99% of them do. It’s not like they were neck and neck in the draft either. McDavid was obviously a generational prospect.

@@jonasgorea3823 in fact, to have an ego about that is just wrong in general. Sabres fans were pumped to get Eichel, too. Last thing I’ll say, is I can understand however why he may be salty in that the organization really didn’t have their act together until basically after he left. So they didn’t help him have great success in general.
