Another one is coincidental roughings not resulting in 4 on 4 play. This was in response to the Gretzky Oilers teams intentionally taking coincidental roughing calls so they could play 4 on 4, which they preferred because of the extra room on the ice

I have been really liking Marchand. And that's maybe why. He hasn't crossed the line since the 2018 playoffs, but he is still annoying, in your face, pest. I've been a fan of Marchand because his annoying behavior while being able to score points. I'm even a fan of another eastern conference team, the Penguins and like Marchand despite being a fan of another team.

You kind of missed quite a bit of context on why Marchand licked those players and stopped playing dirty. He said he licked Komarov for following him close all game, so think of it like a taunting kiss. He didn’t say too much just that this was why he did it. He stopped playing his hyper-aggressive dirty style thanks to the Bruins chairman’s wife, not because ‘his teammates were angry’. His teammates clearly never minded it otherwise Bergeron would have had to pull him aside years ago, to get him to knock it off. Marchand is good friends with the chairman and his wife as they are Nova Scotians too, but the wife doesn’t watch hockey at all. She heard he was a very good player but that is all she new. He said that one day whilst at a BBQ she said she had watched him play and play dirty, she told him he’d lost some of her respect and it was damaging his legacy. Apparently he thought it over and attributed this to be the moment he swung his play style to focusing on putting up numbers. I’m Panthers all the way ya know but Marchand is my favorite non-Panther player. Unfortunately thanks to his reputation as a pest he won’t get the legacy he deserves, instead he’ll one day be a name and photo in an article entitled ‘most underrated NHL players’ where his rep affected how he came across but the reality was, he could light up the league.

I don’t mind agitators. There’’s even a lot of stuff Sean Avery did I don’t mind. I think Marchand licking a guy was funny. My issue is when I see him do illegal stuff when refs aren’t looking. I once saw him hit a guy in open ice and then dived. That’s despicable. Of course, Bruins commentator Jack Edwards said of it “[Marchand] didn’t expect contact in the open ice.”
