@Joe Hoe He's up for criticism and he gets a ton of it. I think at this point hes embraced his role as an agitator. Makes him even more fun to watch. He would be a LOT easier to hate if he wasn't so talented at hockey. If you're a Bruins fan, you can look past his ethics and focus on him helping the team win games.

Brad has been my fav player for so long and he still is, and I’ve met him twice at the Bruins Cut For A Cause Event and off the ice he is one of the nicest ppl ever. I’ll never forget those times I met him, I wanna meet him again. He’s actually wicked nice

No man, you need to add Marchand going after Pitlick for an illegal hit in Bergeron. That was a thing of beauty. Or his blocking Crosby from getting to the bench to get a stick. Marchand is definitely not boring. But he's a fierce competitor who stands up for his team relentlessly.

The most exciting player in the game...Full stop. His hockey sense and awareness on skates is sublime. Stick handling savant. A Sniper when he's not dishing up goalie beaters. Then you insert his personality and drive to compete with anyone. Yeah, he's willing to see where the line is and step over it. I admire it. Dude can hit 100 pts and be the ultimate pest. I've seen that play numerous times where the guy ducks low to avoid the hit and ends up putting the guy on his head. Marchand seems to be ready for that play and has perfected it. But honestly, it doesn't seem like a bad idea. You avoid getting crushed by the guy charging you and I'm OK with the 2min. Furthermore, if the opponent knows he can get dumped on his head he might think twice about coming at you full speed. I see it can hurt a guy badly which is why I'm on the fence. If your opponent didn't end up getting so f'd up I'd say it is OK.

marchand was the X factor in the Bruins-Canucks final which in my biased opinions, was one of the all time great finals in the history of the Stanley cup. It was clear just how much the two teams LOATHED each other and Marchand thrived in that environment, turned him from a rookie who featured on the 4th line to a star player who was taken seriously on the top line.

As a bruins fan what annoys me is that Brad Marchand is a good player has has skill, and enough of it that he shouldn't be playing dirty. He plays dirty all the time and puts people at risk. Hockey is a dangerous sport but he makes it 10 times more dangerous.
