Comparing old NHL fighting to today is weird. Yes it's less frequent, but compare how dangerous each punch is now. They weren't throwing love taps back in the day either, but so many more guys are getting knocked on their ass from a punch now, rather than being dragged down or losing their footing as was mostly the case before

Hockey is different breed. Fighting is a badge that all have earned. Growing up in Ga we played football, baseball etc. I watched Atlanta Flames (WTBS) when I was around 5 and know the rules and what not. But I'm glad it never freezes in south ga
