Montgomery has just been hired as new coach of St. Louis Blues. A team he was once assistant coach of. I find it so ironic that Claude Julian (another Adams trophy winner fired by Boston) is now an assistant coach with St. Louis.

With Marchand’s placement in Bruins’ all time statistics, it’s difficult to imagine him being moved. More likely he would sign a smaller deal for 1-2 years and be a third liner and power play contributor.

I've felt that players whom are sent back to junior and have nothing else to prove, other than they're eligible to be in junior, feels as if those types of players hit a glass ceiling in development. Those same players can play in the NCAA. Further helps their development I think.

He wanted a different assistance than Sacco and Kelly. Those assistant coaches are pretty important to the Bruins they didn’t want to get rid of them just for a coach that wouldn’t last long anyway. We will see how Monty does in St. Louis I doubt he turns that team around

Letang and whatever Montreal wants for Arber Xhekaj or Logan Mailloux and Brendan Gallagher. Josh Anderson is also available with a lower cap hit than Brendan Gallagher. $5.5AAV vs $6.5 AAV. I like Gallagher because he is a dangerous hitter. Drew O'Connor and Jesse Puljujarvi have low contracts and are UFA. Sam Poulin is in the lineup. Is Sam P. being showcased to The Habs? Brad Marchand would be perfect for Crosby as a UFA next year. WOW, dreams and a swan song moment!
