Kassian bragging about his 13 goals is by far the greatest part of that thing. I land on the side of the hits, as I like the hits in the NHL and if you dont want to get hit dont play. I dont watch hockey from the west very often, so i wont see the games that follow between these teams, but who thinks he is gonna get suspended again for his retaliatory hit(s)? I know I am late, but i only discovered this channel during quarantine, so going back through it now. I am not a fan of fighting in Hockey but i know there is a time and place for it. That said it really ticks me off when there is an implication that just cause you delivered a bone crushing hit, you have to fight. If a hit is legal, there is no need to stand up for yourself. You fight when you done messed up. If its clean, skate a way, its a dumb challenge.

As an impartial party (Wild fan), I thought Tkachuk's hit was clean. No elbow, no head contact, and Kassian had clear possession of the puck. You might argue it being a charge but I didn't think so. As for the "fight," I thought it was smart of Tkachuk not to engage. He knew who he was hitting, he knew he'd draw the penalty. Does it make Tkachuk look like a sissy? Doesn't matter. Flames get the advantage. Not every big hit deserves a call. Kassian should control his temper.

As an Oiler fan, the hit shown in the video that finally made Kassian fight was a legal one. It was the 1st hit that was pure garbage and should've given Tkachuk at least a 1 game suspension. Kassian deserved his 2 games for rag dolling an unwilling opponent, but seriously, that 1st hit was absolutely 100% illegal and malicious.
