I was about 15 feet from where Doc was calling the game for that Detroit-Nashville game at the beginning of this video. What many don't remember is that end of the ice is where the stage is for the concert configuration at Bridgestone Arena. There had been a concert there the night before that WICKED bounce

Dunno why goalies are so eager/aggressive to play the puck. Lots of times it doesn't work out and most other times it's just unnecessary, like just barely slowing it down that doesn't give a major advantage for the risk

Truly! As a lifelong Stars fan (Minnesota and Dallas) it pains me to see the horrible upsets we have as a team at times. The only saving grace is that Razor is a constant voice of reasoning, reality, and reassurance in equal parts. The absolute best announcer the NHL has ever seen!

There was one fact I read in a book covering hockey facts years ago (I had a few of those books by this one author who I can't remember the name of) where a coach was one win away from either tying or surpassing the record for most wins in a certain franchise's history (can't remember the specific names). This coach was congratulated by the team's local announcer prematurely just before the team's next game. Unfortunately, they lost that game and did not win another game for the rest of the year. Their final game was especially cruel because they blew a two goal lead in the last 20 seconds of regulation and lost in overtime. And yes, this was in the NHL. The book in question featured the fictional character known as Peter Puck...I think that's his name? Again, this was literally years ago. Now, I will say that the book was published in the early 2010's. If anyone can provide specifics and fact check for me, it would be appreciated.
