It's too bad NHRA doesn't post qualifying on KZbin before the race . It's good for the sponsors but you see so many more things . A lot of people would rather watch KZbin then watch television .

I've been binge watching your uploads for the past week,and gonna say it again - Frank,you are the man when it comes to NHRA coverage ! But this is awesome,and really loved the close ups you were getting on that "Little City Charger", I've been following that team for a few seasons now,but that metalflake Charger they have now has to be their best yet. Look forward to all your coverage this year bro.
@frank-xp6pj2 жыл бұрын
Appreciate your support & the fact you enjoy these videos my brother, it gives me drive to keep trying to do better 🙏🙏 yeah personally the first time I saw that Little City Charger funnycar was at the finals in LasVegas the previous year…however despite having a pretty good camera it still didn’t capture the metal flake paintjob in it’s true glory….I will try to get some pit video of it in Pomona next month at the Winternationals. I’m looking forward to the other side grandstand being open….I prefer that side because it’s actually closer to the track.Stay tuned for better footage next month Rob & I will get more Nitro pit coverage as well 👍🙂

To say tht funny cars cant be told apart because of the advertising is just wrong. Yes they do have a lot of ads on them, I totally agree that one of the best parts of a funny car is their sound and also the speed they run nowadays... 300mph plus for a quarter mile... wow..

Not sure what was up with attendance at Pomona at both the Winternationals and Finals this year. Stands on the far side of the track never opened. Shame because it’s great sitting over there. Thanks for the videos.
@frank-xp6pj2 жыл бұрын
Yes the LA county wouldn’t allow the spectators side stands to open, while at the finals an official told me that if it were to open it would increase attendance to the point that spectators would have to show Covid vaccinations cards & show a recent COVID-19 negative test in order to attend.Thanks for watching 👍🙏

This may seem like a dumb question. On the top fuel rail cars, the guys rubbing the back wheels, what are they doing? I've seen it for years but have never heard what the purpose of it is.
@artmchugh56442 жыл бұрын
Not ar all !!! When the car does a burnout small bits of rubber fly off . In order to not spin the tires on the bits of rubber, the crew wipes it off on the way to the line !! With a funny car ,the rubber is thrown into the wheel well on the tin . It gets to a point where it needs to be scraped off , adds weight and is a fire concern. I know this because I cleaned up the rubber off Whit Bazemore funny car in 1996 😁😁😁😀😀😀🚘🚘🍺🍺

Great footage. but Got damn these ass holes who stand up and block everyones view are some damn selfish. If you didn't wanna seat why'd you pay for one?! Many times I've called people out for doing that. If you stand up you block the view of those behind you, then they stand up so they can see, then those behind them as so on. Meaning the people at the end closest to the start line end up being able to see jack shit for the second half of the run apart from the back of peoples heads. If everyone stays in their seats.. everyone can see everything.
@frank-xp6pj2 жыл бұрын
Your so right , I tried studying the seat chart to get the best possible seats but most often a lot of footage gets ruined because of people standing up. I think in February at the Winternationals I’m gonna shoot some video from the fence , just a little because the concrete barriers hide most of the car nearest you. Some tracks are better to film at because of the grandstand layout & where it sits in relation to the track, others are horrible for filming. My personal favorite would be Sonoma on the tower side but on the fence ….unfortunately sitting at the fence is only for the handicap so that’s cool.

I like them too BUT I don’t like 1/8th mile racing as much as 1/4mile racing…NHRA National events have the best in my opinion & some events feature the fastest door slammers in Dragracing ( Promodified )

Modern big show funny cars are so embarrasing, butt ugly and wimpy. You call that a burnout ??!!
