Glad someone decided to follow the Clay Millican ' Fan Immersion ' model. Bravo Mr. Coughlin! This is a huge inspiration. As a 50+ year drag racing fan I'm so disappointed to see what Pro Stock has become. I used to walk around the pits until the fuel cars were done and then head for my seat to see Pro Stock. But I haven't been to a national event in a decade. Perhaps the great hope is Factory X, real-looking cars with big horsepower. Something has got to change.

I agree 100%$ that Pro Stock is not what it used to be. When all cars have the same wheel base and other dimensions it sounds more like a Nascar cookie cutter with just a different body. I rarely watch Pro Stock as well. I have become more of a Drag and Drive fan.

The cars are so radical now that I don't even watch anymore. I was a HUGE fan back in the 80s. Glidden's red/white Thunderbird, the Professor's silver/black Hurst Olds, Bruce Allen's yellow/white 3rd gen Z28, and Butch Leal's white/red/blue Firebird were the schitt. The 70s and 80s were the best in Pro Stock. The 70s cars were the closest to real street cars.

@@HPRaceDevelopment Kinda. But in ‘70 when the class was created, it was primarily a class that you could make a living in but it was also a name to differentiate it as a class above Super Stock.
