NHRL has rapidly become my all-time favourite combat robot competition on the planet - to me it's the ACTUAL successor to the UK's Robot Wars - rather than Battlebots. It's managed to capture the same kind of feel and utter chaos of that competition which I grew up with, which Battlebots just hasn't been able to for me on quite the same level. I love that there are SO MANY matches each time, and such variety in the robots taking part. I just wish the UK had a proper NHRL-style competition - something just as well done with the refs and the boxes and the commentary, interviews and the looking into the "pits" where people are working on the bots between matches. We really could do with a proper UK-based successor to Robot Wars!!

WarhardXXL destroying the box twice in a single day was legendary. The first time it sent itself into the lexan and the second time it sent Chonkiv into the door and ripped the bolts straight off of the steel bar holding the poly in. 😂

I don't know if this is just me, but if you guys could put the driver and/or builder names under the robot names that would be very helpful because the commentators sometimes use people names instead of robot names. Great competition either way though!

Why would a false start be an automatic disqualification?? Why not just restart?

A false start isn't an instant DQ. The disqualification was from using a weapon and potentially causing damage after a false start. If there's a false start but no contact, it's just a do-over per the rules (there might be some kind of warning system, but for a first offense I don't think there's any penalty).
