I’m having this surgery next week, this is hugely helpful. I’ve watched it several times and it makes me feel more prepared and confident about the experience and the positive side of afterwards. Many thanks for sharing this. 👍 What a nice man and all the staff.

Seeing this was quite a comfort for me. I'm surprised there aren't more comments.

Had my surgery last week, and this was pretty much accurate. There was much more pain than expected even though I had VATS, I had an enormous black bruise on my side that was painful. Went home after four days having passed the walking and stairs test. I have nothing but praise for our NHS, the surgery and hospital care was fantastic. I had my surgery at the UHNS.

Very very helpful. I am soon to have lung surgery and live alone. Good to hear that he was ok to look after himself when he went home. Very reassuring.

matty thousand curious how you’re doing? I had right middle lobectomy and upper lobe resection and I’m 5 weeks post op and in severe pain still with no pain meds. They took pain meds @ 2 weeks and it’s ludicrous. This is a very painful surgery.
