My only complaint with Ni no kuni 2 is lack of voice acting in many scenes.
@FellaGuy26 жыл бұрын
Jeetu Singh Yeah I know, although it's a way to cut cost. The Yakuza series does that shit too.

i thought this added to it. often, text is better than voice acting, unless acting is really nailed down well. for the most part, this gets passing marks in voice acting, but i cant help but wonder how much better it would have been in the original language.

I was a day 1 player and can personally say this is worth the buy. This took me roughly 100 hours to do everything in the game. Except for my kingdom building. Plenty of content for your money and well worth the bucks spent if you like JRPGs. The story is Fanfuckintastic and the gameplay once you've figured out the mechanics of everything makes this game worthwhile.

good to know i ve always looked at this game but never got it, not really a JRPG person but wanted to get into something, contemplated getting the first or the second, probably gonna go with the second one to start as it doesnt matter, love Final Fantasy series and cant wait for 7 remaster but some FF are just a bit of a miss, its only £12 on PSN right now so why not, edit: forgot to add this is the princes addition with all DLC and an equipment package, meant to be £70

Should I finish the 1st one befor I get this or maybe just dive into this and then go back n finish the 1st? The only thing that is slowing down my interest is literally the combat system I'm just a bit played out of the pokemon formula and idk I got that game for 8$lol what a steal but I also don't feel likr I need any of the new pokemon games which is good cuz they cost a lot lol but I like the real time combat n world building story I get the feeling that this game can make me want to finish the 1st game even more than had I not play this 1st idk maybe I have it wrong? Or is it something I'd enjoy more in order like finish 1 then get this? Lol

@sofaris5764 жыл бұрын
@@PaNDaSNiP3R I honestly never had the problem of being underleveld in Ni No Kuni. Meybe its becuse I always do all the sidequests and fore Oliver I stick to only 3 familiars: the little sword guy he gets first, that lemure he gets in Ding Ding Dell and that cat with a sword. It might also be becuse I like both action and turn based games so I got the hang of Ni No Kunis combat rather easily. I often hear people say its dificult and grindi but to me its a very easy game. There where 2 bosses I died to and only one where it happend more than once. I think I needed 3 ore 4 tries.

This may sound a little childish but I just wanted to say: in skirmishes when you call for reinforcements, the little syncronized dance they do makes me so happy. I've spent lots of hours playing that mode just because I enjoy watching them and hearing Evan shout "Chaaarge!" and "We can't afford to lose!" in his british accent. Truly, this game makes me smile and I'm really glad I bought it :)

I adore this game, and Higgledies are really effective, and adorable. I like using them. I liked the first Ni No Kuni for the story, but that combat system gave me a damn headache. Your teammates were not that helpful, and they kept dying. Ni No Kuni 2 battle system is really fun, and refreshing. My best friend got this for me as a birthday gift, and I am so glad he did. Also for those asking if you need to play the first one. No you don't, unless you just want it for the story. This game just takes place 100 years after the first in the same world.

i dunno about you, but treat everything IGN says with a heaping spoonful of salt, if it is a big name western AAA game/nintendo made game, expect it to brownnose the crap out of the game, then for everything else, it tends to be a schizophrenic mess, as most of the time, since they have such a large and varied group of reviewers, they just randomly dole out titles to any rando reviewer on their payroll, since there is no dedicated reviewer or small number of reviewers, there cannot be any consistency, as everyone's tastes are different, so its very hard to tell if what they complain about or love is relevant to you.

To me this game is successful (I have completed it) because of its ability to retain that classical Studio Ghibli fantastical fiction and wonder without being childish. The art style continues to be amazing as they always have. Gameplay manages to capture my attention and keep me interested for 40-ish hours. It plays and feels like a Studio Ghibli animation that you can participate, which should be enough to capture the hearts of all Ghibli fans out there.
@kheey10745 жыл бұрын
Played the game. Finished it. Loved it. Some may say the game is too short for a JRPG (Approx 40-50 hrs or so). However, with the recent update ,it took me 100hrs to complete it. The updated version 4.00 adds extra difficulty which are Hard and Expert. Play the game in Expert. Its worth it and its basically a loot fest. You can easily get purple tier items playing in Expert difficulty. Its very challenging but it's super worth it.

None of the elements of this game are done better than in other games, but the streamlined nature of each allows your focus to shift around at a whim so that you are constantly excited with each new shiny experience. I think you forgot to add the part about the game where you are forced into doing tedious side quests so that you can level up your kingdom. In later parts of the main storyline, you are completely forced to make use of the time management sytem(the kingdom you buil) if you want to access the otherwise locked parts of the story. Rejoice fans, you have to forcibly do 40+ tedious side quests and wait for your kingdom to make enough money to upgrade to level three, and make a very specific building, all to be able to do the endgame.
@RoyalKnightish6 жыл бұрын
lnflnltyLegend I have different opinion about that. For me, the fetching quests can be quite interesting since there are times when the sidequests are interlinked, but i wish we could get more than 1 citizen by doing one sidequest.

Gigi Villalobos No Ghibli this time is why, Level 5 doesn't have the staff to do proper animation like that.

Psh I want a full vr room you know how much weight I would lose fighting with a hack and slash game? I love tech is evolving but the old 2d does add a fun anime feel to it 👍

It was Studio Ghibli employees that did the art they just couldn't say it for some legal things going on at the time.

Do you recommend playing the first game before playing this and when yes, where is the best place to buy it for PC?

Great review!! IGN writers should learn from you.

I really liked collecting the cute monsters, so I'm kinda shocked to learn that this isn't a part of the 2nd game. But I hated the combat system. Running around and dodging in real-time: yeah, fine. But browsing through menues for attacks, items and spells, during the real-time fight: hell no! That is something you do in turn-based combat or when the fight is paused. Maybe I'll go for it, since they changed the combat system. It's on Steam winter sale right now...

I know Tales of Vesperia kinda did this, but I really wish the Tales of franchise would revisit this art style

That and tales games should have an option for turning off the combat voices every move I do they need to say it reminds me of old ps1 jrpgs

I am loving this game more than the first so far but I hope that we will see an added difficulty setting in a future patch. I would love to be challenged a little bit more, nothing has been able to take me down after 10 hours of gameplay and I'm not even trying to over level.

The game seems really interesting, I've never played any of it or the previous one, but what I find weird is the misfitting textures art. In some places is realistic (like when you fight), in the kingdom is cartoony and almost low-poly, and then at the towns is somewhat in between. Is there any lore explanantion for that or is it just the style of the game? Is there any type of spacial/time disorder or something that provokes the "scenarios" to not match each other consistently throughtout the whole game?

I got this game on discount just yesterday, i've been eyeing this game since its launch but i dont have the time to play and eventually forgot about it, thank god steam feature this game in front page so i immediately download it. One thing that this game made me realize is that " so this is what it meant by games u play to have fun and relax" i mean so far i played many good games like witcher, tales games, RDR 2 and honestly everytime i played those i always have a goal like finding better equipment, doing quest to get stuff, pushing questline to get the story etc. But this game doesn't give me any of that, i just play and thats it. Its a weird kind of fun but a very welcome one. Definitely an experience i would reccomend to everybody

I honestly loved more the story of the first, but the battle system in the second is better than the first game. I add : Is also nice that in some points of the game you can switch the character and play as them (example: caves and map) When there was to fight I always used Roland because the tutorial made me love the way he moves in the battlefield. (Sorry my English if I made some mistakes ;; )
