Yan Ni (Chinese: 颜妮; pinyin: Yán Nī; born 2 March 1987) is a Chinese female volleyball player who won the gold medal in the 2016 Summer Olympics. On club level, she plays for Liaoning.

Yan Ni has been awarded for the best middle blocker in 2018 world championship and 2019 World Cup consecutively. I think it very fair to name her as the best middle block NOW in women’s volleyball world. Besides, she stays so humble and nice. Don’t forget she’s 33 years old this year and that just makes it just even more incredible.

Yan Ni mainly has the perfect timing of blocking. many players jump too early while Yan Ni start to jump just at the moment spiker start to swing. Besides, her hand and arm movement on the net is just very accurate.

vc vc Yes the ball touched the net but her left hand also touched it at 0:30. Or does it matter that it was the ball that caused her to touch the net? I was under the impression that the rule did not distinguish, so long as the net was touched while the play is still ongoing.
